Our ruby ale Red Macgregor brewed to 4.0 ABV. Deliciously perfumed with hints of spiciness and toasted malts. Rich hop fruits giving way to a clean dry refreshing hop bitterness.

Bottle, many thanks to Craig, cgarvieuk for this one, cheers Craig Pours reddy brown with very good clarity, off white head. Taste is quite clean, some maltiness and fruits shine through but there is also a slightly metallic edge to this, also there maybe just a hint of smokiness. Enjoyable beer that went down very well.

Bottle. Strong roasted malt aroma backed by floral notes. Dark coppery color with a good whitish head that even laced a trifle. Medium body with very mild carbonation. Flavor is roasted caramel with herbal or floral hop to balance. It’s not as raw as many "reds", and the unusual hop goes well with the malt. Finish is a bit watery, but dry, and lightly bitter. Seems a decent session beer.

Dark red-amber color; rocky head. Aroma of caramel and ripe apples. Dark caramel flavor, leading to some roasted malt and nutty bitterness later (too much for me); it’s quite dry. Simple.

Bottle from Peckhams, Glasgow. Ruby red with lasting beige head. Aroma of dry malt and red berries are good, with some hop. A little bit of chalk. Doesn’t really work in the bottle. Good aroma, rest is disappointing. Some milk choc.

Pour is a very nice looking red with a big pillowy tan head. Aroma is decent with lots of smoky malts and a nice citrus hop. Flavor is a little weaker than the aroma. Some carmel malts and it has a nice dry dusty finish. Low alcohol makes this one a easy drinker.
