draft @ Delirium Brussels.

2012-09-24, draught at La Fine Mousse, Paris, 7-4-7- 4-14=36
Dark brown color, almost black, with generous compact head. Mild aroma of roasted malt, hops and glue. Strong flavor of roasted malts, and very strong bitterness; there is a peculiar note of raspberries, but unfortunately also some glue. The roastiness is a bit too much, and hides other qualities.
Good beer, but apparently it has a minor flaw.
2012-04-01, bottle from L’Abbaye des Saveurs, Lille, 7-3-7-4-15=36
The bottle is a gusher; muddy amber-brown color, with frothy head. Aroma of hops, partially fruity, and sweaty, with a lot of yeast; bread. Overcarbonated body, moderate sweetness, malt flavor, with some fruity character; good hops; reasonable balance.
Still not too professional, too much yeast, but very pleasant.

Bottled. An unclear dark red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of yeast, moldy hay, straw, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, moldy hay, straw, and malt, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle, 75cl. An unclear one, orange-golden in color and with a small, light beige head. The aroma is malty and silghtly sugary, with resiny, fluor hoppyness. The flavor is sweet, yet it feels dry on the palate, nice carbonation, and with a solid, but not well composed, hoppyness. Bitter finish. There’s a light warming feeling in the end. Not an IIPA in the way I like it, that’s for sure. 120218
