Blend 2: Danish Wild Ale with Cherries and Vanilla Beans.
Our beloved Kriek, refermented with 50% Stevnsbær cherry juice, and then rested upon copious amount of Tahitian and Bourbon vanilla beans.
Aged for 36 months.

Bottle at De Gerbande Winning. Pours a cloudy dark ruby with medium pink head that lasts. The aroma is strong cherry skin, funk, wood. Slick body, sweet cherry, light funk, wood, nice tartness, enjoyed this.

Bottle, 9l, blend 1, at MBCC 2022. Hazy purple color with beige head. Aroma is big cherry skin, vanilla too, intense. Taste is intense cherry, vanilla, not too sweet though, good tart punch, also leather.

MBCC. Hazy hazy deep red with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, mlaty, heavy cherries, vanilla and wood. Flavor is medium sweet and rather acidic. Dry and rather acidic finish. 140522

Bottle at MBCC 2022, as Kriek Vanilje (2020). Hazy ruby color with pink head. Aroma is big cherry flesh, vanilla too, thick upfront. Taste is the same, very cherryfleshy, tart, not too sour, marzipan. Full-bodied. Good one!

Bottle. Clear blood red body with a big, foamy pink head. Aroma is strong on cherry and mild on vanilla, some funky acidity. Taste is sweet and sour with cherry, mild vanilla (luckily, too much vanilla in a Kriek may easily be disgusting), some wood, plasent funk and all over really smooth. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Very nice one indeed.
