Locus Solus II was brewed in April 2018 of all-NJ pilsner malt and raw wheat, and spontaneously fermented in a cognac barrel, where it fermented to absolute dryness over a period of eighteen months, sous voile (mais oui). Nothing added, nothing blended, no filtration, no pasteurization, no dosage of any kind. Bottled with corks rated for 30+ years, this is a deathbed ale.

Bottle shared at CBJ. Cheers! Pours clear yellow with a small, creamy white head. Light sweet flavour with some tangy pale wood, a little salinity, subtle funk, bitter grass. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Twangy finish, lip-smacking, lemon peel, grass, some phenolic notes. Interesting gear.

Bright clear golden beer with no head. Musk, hint of chlorine, white wine. Dry mushroom flavour, again dry white wine (if not top-quality). Ultra dry, uncarbonated. Not really great.
