Do chocolate and strawberries belong in beer? Of course they do! Think chocolate covered strawberries, or chocolate and strawberry sponge cake. IT AIN'T ICE CREAM combines smooth, moreish chocolate flavours with ripe, jammy strawberries. Venezuelan cocoa nibs were used to elevate the chocolate malt flavours sought after in the base beer recipe. Then lashings of strawberry add those chocolate box-strawberry flavours, providing a hint of sweet, juicy fruit to complement a delicate dark chocolate bitterness. Of course it ain't ice-cream! It's just beer!

Lattina. Il gusto al naso è indirizzato verso caffè e cioccolato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una scarsa tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il colore è come l'inchiostro nero. Il corpo è strutturato. Il dolce è medio in buon equilibrio con l'amaro medio. La forza gustativa è elevata e la permanenza è buona. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, cioccolato fondente, caffè, liquirizia, pastry, frutta secca ed agrumi.

Draught@TCBW2022. Black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is vanilla and chocolate ice cream with some mild coffee and sweet berries. Flavour is chocolate, vanilla icecream, mild coffee, some alcohol and mild toasted tones.

Pours black, small tanned head. Scent is full, roasty, sweet, strawberry and chocolate indeed. Taste is full, sweet, but not over the top. Remains a tad bitter. Strawberry and chocolate, but less chemical than other ice-cream pastry stouts tend to be. Also less fullbodied and sweet. I must admit I enjoy those full-bodied)beasts a bit more, but to have a beer like this at 'only' 8 ABV is quite damn fun !
