Bottle. Dark brown color, hardly any head. Roasted malt, coffee and caramel in the aroma. Roasted malt, coffee and honey in the flavor. Sweetish. Almost medium bodied. Just a hint of salt. Pleasant.

Bottled (backlog). Black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some chocolate, mild berries as well as some funk and sour wood. Flavour is roasted malts, some chocolate, liquorice and alcohol sweetness, but getting a nice sourish edge to it. Balanced, and a bit more mellow than the "basic" Deutscher Porter.

Bottle 0.375l from Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Colour is almost black with small brown head. Aroma and flavours are sourness, berries, sait and some roasted malts expecially in aroma. Very strange. Watery.

Black colour, beige head. Aroma of Brett, liquorice, hay, hops and roasted malts. Salty sweet flavour, light sour tones, malts and liquorice (katjesdrop). Light astringent. Finish light tart, somewhat sweet with salty liquorice tones. Very special, quite OK, and a rather good combination with strong cheese.

At ACBF 2011. Dark brown no head. Too salty sherbert for me. Again different to your average German beer.

37.5cl bottle from Alvinne beershop.
