Cask @ Salopian, the pub. Pours dark as promised, creamy tan head. Dusty cocoa, roast, decent malt body, pleasant chocolatey sweet side.. great stout overall.

Cask at Borough Arms, Crewe. Pours a very dsrk reddish-brown with a small beige head. There’s roasted malts and milky coffee in the aroma. In the mouth it is slightly sweet with roasted malts again to the fore, alongside lactose and chocolate. Later on there is bitter black coffee and hints of dark fruits leading to a slightly dry finish. This is quite nice.

Gravicask, 1/3 pint, shared with Finn at GBBF Winter '23. Black in the glass, bubbly surface, dotted spots on the glass. Dark malty aromas, nicely roasted, inviting. Coffee-chocolate flavours, hints of dark fruits. Roasted malt-driven close, soft on the swallow. Easy to drink and quite alright. (Burton upon Trent, 17.02.2023).
