Grapes of Moravia is a scarlet local beauty, which can trace its roots back to Bordeaux. Combining the character of Cabernet Franc and Zweigelt, Cabernet Moravia grapes shine with their low acidity and redcurrant notes. First harvested in 1975 not far from our brewery, we could hardly find a more local ingredient for our wild ale.

I really enjoy the subtle sourness, sweet, lots of red fruits, soft acidic notes, quite nice

Small off-pink head with a creamy hue, fast gone over deep, veiled cardinal-red beer. End of bottle serious deposit. Vinous nose with hints of red fruit (cherry, raspberry, redcurrant...) Also musk, old velvet, wild yeasts. Very complex nose. Deep, deep complex grapes and red fruit flavours. Vinous, not just amazingly complex but also harmonious, balanced integration of the fruit with the beer. Some acidthinning, yet a light velvety feel, as from grapeskins. Very good carbonation. Wow. What a beer! Jitka, love you for making this.

Bottle. Color: Dark red, purple-ish. Lightly pink head. Aroma: Grapes, tannins, vinuous, tart. Taste: Over moderate to medium tart, vinegar notes, fruity grapes, some grapeskin and wood. Tannins. Dry mouthfeel, especially at finish. Some wild yeast funk. Light to moderate sweet, light bitterness. Smooth and quite dense, lightly creamy mouthfeel. Over medium body, just below average carbonation. Nice.

Pivo & Burger 5 Karlín. Hazy ruby body, pinkish head - thick and lasting. Funky grape-driven aroma, red grapes, peppery, with a significant touch of glue. Again, the Cabernet Moravia (Zweigelt x Cabernet Franc) dominates the taste, with a strong dab of glue and funk. Sweetish, lean, tart... Nice but not wow. Might need to be retried in an environment that's not a festival...
