For this Druif, we macerated Sangiovese grapes from the Siena region in Italy for almost five months on a small wine barrel. We used two-year old lambics originating from two different barrels and five different brews. The weighted average age of this blend upon bottling is almost 27 months.

The final fruit intensity is 626 grams of Sangiovese grapes per litre of Druif.

Pours dark, amber. Small white head. Scent is full, earthy red grapes. Bit woody, lower funkyness on the lambic. Taste is fairly full, very grape forward. Red fruits, earthy, raw and rough woodyness. Mild tannins, fairly full-bodied. Decent, but not my favorite.
