500ml bottle from a Morrisons online shop. Clear dark brown, small beige head, leaves a nice creamy looking top. Aroma is toffee malts, grass, slightly earthy. Taste is caramel, toast, grass, slight grapefruit, mild bitterness. Light to medium bodied, quite refreshing. Decent.

Cask at Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton Pours the classic “bitter brown” colour, with a good cream head. The aroma is mainly malts, but with some nuttiness. In the mouth toffee predominates, mixed with dark fruits to give an overall sweetness. Finish is creamy, with some hops appearing at last. A straightforward brown ale – but a quality one that is a pleasure to drink.

Bottle at home. A good pour with a rich mahogany colour. The taste was that of a rich brown ale and was perfectly pleasant.
