No fuss. Just big, bigger, biggest, mega. That’s: Big. Bigger. Biggest. Mega!

In the early beginnings of Dugges, this could have been around 2005 or 2006. We had a brewer who tried to brew the strongest beer he could. That attempt ended up a 16% vol. imperial stout, which never saw the light of day. It didn't taste right. Scaling that recipe down, however, it tasted just fine. And it got us to brewing Idjit. One of our most iconic beers.

Fast forward to 2021, and we wanted to reconnect with that ambition of not brewing something big, bigger, or biggest but brewing something mega! So, the mega-series was born. Big 15% vol. adjunct stouts, which had extra everything with even more on top and a side of all you could ever want. And then some.

Weirdly, funnily and/or strangely enough, we've never brewed a clean version. One that really connected to our roots. So, we've rectified that and now gone full circle. We're back, maybe not brewing the strongest beer we can but brewing something really strong. And this time, it tastes just right.

Draught@CBH2023 (thanks Micke!). Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, toffee, liquorice, some mild dark chocolate and alcohol. Flavour is dried fruits, plum, chocolate, some roast, alcohol and mild toffeeish tones. Smooth, and surprisingly easy going, though a very big boy!
