Our first sour beer of 2022! Eton Mess was brewed with the most fruit puree we’ve ever used before. A heavy malt bill of wheat and oats were used to provide a thick base then Strawberry, Blueberry, and Raspberry purees were blended in along with vanilla and a lacto culture to add some lovely sherbet like tartness. You can expect bright berry aromas, sweet fruity jam like flavours finishing with a refreshingly tart kick.

440ml can from S43. Pinkish gold colour, white foam head and aroma of berries, fruity, strawberry, vanilla. Taste is sweet, fruity, strawberry, raspberry, vanilla and sour, citric rind, salty. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, lingering berry & sour finish. Nicely drinkable.

440ml can from the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Light pinkish gold and hazy with a small ring of white head. Berry and vanilla aroma with a little bit of an acrid note. Delicious sweet taste with just a hint of sourness and marshmallowy sugar in the finish. A bit of a slow start but my goodness this really grows on me. A brilliant beer.

Can from the brewery online shop. Pours hazy pinkish red with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of lactose, raspberry and faint sour. Taste is more of the same, but of vanilla. Light sweet finish.
