On tap at Hopfengarten Bamberg St Andrea's bar. Clear pale brown colour lasting beige head. Its an odd rauch. Mostly herbs. Light if any smoke. Light smoke is there no doubt. But it's mostly a herb led beer. I mean have I had a beer like this? No. Is it badly brewed no. No faults. So now you het to the brewers intentions. It's a light smoke and a good base beer with herbs. Not traditional rauch. Oregano herb? It's like a malty oregano Light smoke beer. Odd. But not horrible.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is diacetyl, some smoked tones with vegetables. Flavour is diacetyl, vegetables, some smoky tones. Harsh diacetyl.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, auburn colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Rather weak, leafy and mellow malty aroma, a minimally medicamentous, peaty-smoky touch of plaster. Taste is rather expressionless, mellow and toasty malty, slightly leafy hoppy. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. A bit weird, half-baked - not horrible, but obviously failed. As a brewer I wouldn't dare to launch a brew like this.

Säuerlicher Beginn, der kaum Hopfen beinhaltet. Entsprechend laff, wässriger Hintergrund, störende Säure. Konstant. 8/2/4/3/9/3

Clear copper colour with thin head. Malty aroma. Taste starts sharp and sour. Seems like a lemonade shandy. Thin, watery body. Seems like a fuck up. There's really no smokiness either. Seems like hops are not a sponge for flavours despite the proclamation of one of the brewers.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek', best before February 2023. Slightly hazy, deep reddish amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity, aroma of caramel, nuts, honey and some citrus. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity, a little soapy taste of caramel, nuts, lemon and honey, followed by a short, gently bitter, minimally grassy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Huh? Where's the smoke?

--Bottled, from Die Bierothek. -- Clear amber, small head. Faint somwhat medicinal smoke up front. Mid sweet with light body and clean mouthfeel. Grain and mild smoke, notes of vegetables. Low bitterness. Modernistic and sketchy.
