From tap Ølbaren. Pours clear and golden brown with a huge tan head. Aroma is breadish and dark roasted malty. Sweet caramelish, light fruity and toasted breadish malty. Bitter, toasted and almost breadish malty finish.
Earlier Rating: 4/11/2008 Total Score: 2.7
50 cL bottle. Pours slight cloudy dark brown with a dense light tan head. Sweet breadish and light overripe fruity aroma. Flavour is sweet, almost cloyingly sweet. Roasted malt going into a breadish flavour and followed by a light spice note. Ends solid sweet and light spiced. Too sweet for my liking, the 7.3% are utterly wellhidden.

Clear black-mahoney body. Aroma of grapes, alcohol, malts: not very well balanced. Lightly bitter, moderately sweet flavour: bit hops: mainly malts (somewhere between cara and chocolate). Not bad, but not nice.

50cl bottle. Pours chestnut brown with a red hue. There is a decent head which reduces to a thin layer of lace. The nose has toffee and some malt. The taste is of chocolate, then apples, then chocolate again. The palate is medium to large in structure and texture then it finishes clean but with some alcohol burn. Overall, a really interesting beer.
