Tap at the Borefts after Festival 2018. Pours hazy dark brown with an off white head. Aroma is malt, rye, fishy, herbal, light smoke. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, caramel, weedy, herbal hop, light smoke. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Maybe my first smoked fish beer, probably the last. Although it was interesting!

BAF! 2018. Kaapse bar. Dark brown with offwhite head. Sweet toasted malts. Funky fishy, rye, caramel, light smoked. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Actual smokey fishskin notes coming out well.

F: thin, tan, not long lasting. C: red coppery, bit hazy. A: smoked tones, smoked salmon, smoked meat, dark fruits, bit peat. T: malty backbone, peat, smoked tones are not overhelming here, bit fruity, smoked salmon, medium body and lower carbonation, nice balanced, enjoyed, draft sample shared @ BBP Wanderlust 2018 in Brussels.

Tap at the Borefts after Festival 2018. Poured a hazy dark brown colour with a frothy off white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is malt, fishy, herbal, floral hops. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a weedy, herbal, chamomile, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. It’s all a bit fishy to me! Really dreadful.

Sampled @ BAF Rotterdam 2018. A clear red brown beer with a mid-sized good lasting beige head. Aroma of herbal spices, red fruits, red malt. Taste of pizza spices, red malt, liqourice, melasse, strange.
