The Pit is a wild ale fermented and aged in oak vessels, then conditioned in stainless steel on California yellow peaches and white nectarines. It bursts with the aroma of fruit blossom nectar, tart, juicy and concentrated flavors of peach skins, and pie filling. It finishes with the snappy minerality of old world wine.

Poured from the tap @ Ghost Town. Hazy yellow blonde with small white head. Peach, some nectarine, a bit of that wild yeast with a slightly cooked fruit pie quality. Not picking up the oak. Decent.

Yellow, a bit watery body, with a small, yellowish head. Aroma of funk, peach, straw, almond, slight nectarine. Tastes quite similar, but fruitier, with more juicy peach. Quite light, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth, fruity, moderate acidic, slightly funky, with peach and almond. Very nice, balanced stuff, with the peach more prominent and the nectarine quite in the background. Score: 8 / 3 / 8 / 4 / 15
