Catch up rating from notes, 2012: Bottle from Edeka Markt. Bright, clear golden pour, one finger foamy head, lively carbonation. Crisp grassy aroma, hint of hops, spot on. Taste was clean, full bodied grains with a nice sharp hoppy bite at the finish. Solid all the way through, didn't disappoint.

On 14th Jan 2012 I decided to have a lager/pilsner/helles/light beer evening: a 500ml bottle of this beer was the second to be opened. Poured into three Pilsner glasses; each one filled with a lively golden bodied beer that showed a full head of white foaming bubbles. The beer was a bright golden yellow in colour, a good looking brew. The nose was your typical Pilsner: so weak hints of hops, grassy in places and almost a malt ester aroma as the beer warmed in the glasses. The taste was again the regular Pilsner sharp; hop based tangy beer you’d expect. This one is slightly sweeter than most and doesn’t have such a cutting bite as some either. Once the beer had calmed down a little it seemed to mellow somewhat and from the lively beginning it turned into a softer, easier to drink beer: not bad at all.
