Out of the shadows comes our latest barrel aged offering. We used a blend of our favorite dark roasted malts to create a rich and roasty stout that was locked away to age in Teeling Irish Whiskey barrels to deliver delicate notes of vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut, berry, dates, and spice.

A deep dark stout with no head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, light bourbon barrel notes, woody notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice.

My 100th HoD beer! Draft at the HCMC brewpub. Poured almost black in colour with a lasting frothy light tan head. The aroma is boozy alcohol, light molasses. The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, super dry, rich, oaky, light peaty, light red berry fruit, big warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Not too shabby. Maybe I’ll take a bottle home with me!
