Ridiculously hazy straw golden coloured body with a 99 per cent opaque yellow glow, but an ugly, frothy two centimetre tall off-white head that fades fast and doesn't leave a thing on the sides or the top. Aroma of deep floral and grassy hop notes with some definite bitterness and light citrusey scents along with some astringent alcohol in the nose. Medium to Full-bodied; Very pungent and strong grassy, herbal and perfumey hop flavours without any real sweetness, but a nice wheat and oaty malt notes that provide soft support to the bitter and pungent hops that have astringency and especially bitterness throughout. Aftertaste is deep, very dry, super grassy, resinous, piney and bitter - all from the hops, which is almost exactly what you'd want from the style, but not what is usually seen in newer school IPAs. Overall, a nice IPA that shows almost exactly as a pure West Coast IPA in the Mid 2000s - with a nice fresh bitterness, actual pungency and only dryness and no sweetness - the only real difference here is the unfiltered quality, bad looking head and the fact that this is made in Iowa versus California! Very nice to try and great for those of us who lived/drank during this time period and miss the bitterness from those beers! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Carmine Street Beers in New York (Greenwich Village), New York on 03-December-2022, packaged on 08-September-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 26-January-2023.

Very hazy grey-ish yellow colour, half inch of creamy ivory head; aroma of grapefruit, pine resins, pineapple, celery, elderflower, slight grape peel and biscuity notes; perfectly balanced bittersweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma and some spicy-celery notes; just simply amazing!

16 ounce can. Cloudy orange gold pour. Rocky beige head. Fragrant citrus and stone fruit aroma. Flavor upfront leans toward sweet grapefruit, orange and stone fruit. Soft palate with a touch of stickiness. Citrusy hop finish is pleasant. Nicely done.

Cloudy papaya smoothie orange body, medium off-white head. Aroma mostly candied papaya with some lime and grapeskin. Body crisp, perfumy, and spicy, with lots of mineraly grapeskin, melon, papaya, and onion. Creamy; dry on balance.
