Bottle. Almost black, opague. Roast, coffee and caramel in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with roast, caramel and espresso. Velvety mouthfeel. Not bad.

Negra opaca, con su dedito y medio de espuma ocre poco consistente. Aroma a café y fruta del bosque. Excelente en boca, primero malteada y frutal para ir evolucinando hacia un final seco y mas amargo, café. Super equilibrada y y bebible. Notable.

Bottle at Porterhouse, Dublin. Pours almost black with a small beige colour head. Aroma of roasted coffee, chocolate with a hint of tartness. Medium bitterness, with a slight sourness, medium body, slightly thin texture, average carbonation. OK but had hoped for something a little more.

Bottle at parents house, sourced from the Abbots Ale House Store in Cork by the old man - many thanks, 26/01/13. Mid black with a thin tan head that clears to the edge and leaves a swirl of a film. Nose carries dark malt, touch of chocolate, molasses, light sour fruit tones, light soapy notes. Taste comprises dark malts, chocolate, dark fruits, plummy, dates, molasses, leather, tar, light mineral tones, hint of coffee. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. Ok porter, nice to see the Irish micro’s shining through more in recent years!
