Bottle at Porterhouse Central. The beer pours a flat black color with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and a bit of dark fruit. Medium body with flavors of sweet malt, espresso and a touch of anise. The finish is roasty with a coffee and berry aftertaste. Above average overall.

330mL bottle, pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma of bittersweet dark chocolate, light roast, and some faint butterscotch. Flavour of toffee / butterscotch, some dry roasted malt and bitter cocoa powder. Certainly not an impie, at least by North American standards, with a fairly restrained and a bit watery body. Quite a bitter finish, likely from the roast, which is quite harsh toward the end. All in all, a pretty boring stout.

330 ml bottle. Pours black with medium head. Aromas of dates, tar, and cardboard. Flavors of chocolate powder, biscuits, slightly sour dark fruit, and burnt coffee. Dry. Imperial stout? I don’t know, but quite nice.

Bottled (From Beers Of Europe). Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is tar, some liquorice, alcohol, mild nutty notes as well as some syrup. Flavour is quite similar, with a slight alcohol burn in the finish. Also some quite spicy notes.

Fra flaske på Cardinal: aroma av bjørnebær. En god og bæraktig smak og ettersmak. Kom for sent på kvelden til å få en helt saklig vurdering, må prøves på nytt.

Bottle from Beers of Europe
Black, big tan frothy head, good lacing
Aroma of dark malts, lots of soft roasted malts, bit of spiciness, touch of dark sugars, not a big aroma
Taste - Rich dark dryish malts, soft smoke, soft roasted malts, some unusual roasted malt in there (maybe the yeast), coffee, touch of bitter plain chocolate, hint of treacle, quite simple but good clean flavour
Palate - Medium carb and body, oily palate. Finish - dry, roasted malts, bitter and a bit tangy linger
Overall - Interesting stout, rather dry and has a slight tang on the finish. There is a spicyness in there too. Not amazing but pretty solid

Draught at The Wharf, Aalborg, as Porterhouse Anglo-Irish Imperial Stout
Black color with brown head. Mild aroma of roasted malt and some cardboard, light cheese. Medium body structure, big roasted malt flavor, ashes, some dark chocolate, salty, with strong bitterness. Maybe too aggressive on the roasty side.

Bottle. Pitch black beer with a light brown strongish head. The aroma is malty and strongly roasted coffee bean, and the flavour is bitter and fairly strongly roasted. Overall a nice strongly flavoured roasted coffee bean flavoured bitter stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Vertical with BA version
Aroma has lots of floury cocoa and some coffee notes. Also hints of vanilla. Flavour is malty with cocoa and some roasted coffee. Dry stuff, worse than the BA version.
