Unser Alt-Bamberg Urstoff ist ein aromatisches Vollbier mit süffigem Geschmack, im Gaumen einzigartig rund und harmonisch im Nachtrunk. Es wird traditionell unter Verwendung von Caramelmalzen eingebraut und untergärig langsam vergoren. Seine hellgoldene Farbe und der würzig-frische Geruch nach Gerstenmalz versprechen ein besonderes Geschmackserlebnis. Das klassische, fränkische Bier schmeckt praktisch zu jeder Gelegenheit.

Bamberg Bash Day 3. Train swig. Light haze on this pale gold beer, big white head. Palate is light and dry. Pale malt grain. Mild floralness. Little spice. Dry finish. Meh!

Bottle, from REWE Bamberg, during the brief room 103 tasting with many spillages, Bamberg post Xmas jolly late on day 2 - 25/01/14. Almost clear golden with a moderate off white head. Nose is pale malts, light citrus, grassy, straw. Taste comprises lemon rind, light bread dough, pale malt ill, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying closure. Ok Helles.

Heller, mild hopfiger Antrunk. Wenig herb, süffig hellmalzig, etwas bitterer werdend. Wenig aber erkennbar würziger zum Ende hin. Unauffälliges Helles. 7/8/9/7/8/7

Bottled 500ml. -Golden coloured, medium sized white head, mild malty herbal nose. Moderate malty, pleasant hoppy and slight grainy. Dry hoppy finish. Also some random sweet notes but all in all average one.

Pale golden, low lacing, foamy head. Doughy amd strawlike malt base nicely balanced with frash herbal and grassy hops.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts hoppy and dry, but quite unbalanced. Modest sourish background. Finish malty-moldy, still unbalanced. Not so good.
