Draft at Brewmaster, Sri Petaling. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is malt, lager yeast. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a crisp, malt, yeasty, light herbal, light aromatic, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

On tap @ Overtime, Kuala Lumpur. A bit hazy golden body with a decent white head. Aroma is malty and a bit grassy. Flavor is refreshing with light malt, fruit, and slightly yeasty with moderate bitterness. Quite straightforward, nothing really special, but considering being the first brewpub/microbrewery in Malaysia they have to start somewhere and this beer is tastier than the Malaysian macro stuff, even if that does not say much about the quality.

Draught @ Overtime. This beer comes in wooden barrels, which is quite something. Hazy beige colour. Doughy kit beer aroma. Fairly doughy taste, sweetish up front and slightly tart towards the finish. Ok stuff, basic kit beer like you’d find in Vietnamese or most Chinese brewpubs. I wonder if the beer isn’t a bit green - but regardless it’s good to see Malaysia take these tentative steps.
