Good, lightly yellowish, dense and stable head over faintly veiled golden beer. Coriander, fake citrus, maybe bit of thyme, orangepeel. Coriander returning, citrus, dry herbs, dried lemonbalm. Light body, wheatslickness, medium to good carbonation. The umpteenth, hyper-classic wit, with not a whit of interest. Txs to Stef!

Helder lichtgeel bier met schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en fruitig met iets van citrus en wat appel. Verfrissend biertje.

Old Brunehaut has created a new market for itself in recent years by specializing in organic and gluten-free beers, and this one is apparently intended as an organic 'sports beer' (which still sounds as a contradictio in terminis to me), created for a company in Ninove, about fourty miles northeast of Brunehaut. It has been standing in my collection for a long time now - I cannot even remember where I bought it. Very thick and foamy, busily cobweb-lacing, egg-white, very moussy and stable head slowly receding over a clear, pure metallic golden beer with lively visible sparkling, turning deeper yellow and misty with sediment. Aroma of halfripe banana, old dusty coriander powder, damp straw, oxidized apple slices, moist white pepper, raw turnip, green pear, minerals, dusty old cotton cloth or even jute. Dry, quite neutral onset, some banana peel and unripe pear but very low in sweetness (if any at all), lots of minerally carbonation, a bit sharp on the tongue; slick grainy middle with a light white-bready side to it, remaining very dry but also feeling rather 'empty' due to the lack of sugars. Bitterish, dry finish, sprinkled with the old coriander dust for dull spicy effect, combining with a grassy, bit leafy and quite long-lasting hop bitterness trying to save the day. Empty and clean, 'flat' in character so to speak, overcoriandered and boring to death - but there is worse on the market and the hoppiness is quite well dosed, so I will not be too harsh in rating. One is more than enough, though - I am not inclined to find out about the rest of this range, because apparently a few other of these VIBBS are in existence already.

33cl bottle from the Delhaize supermarket near 'Plopsaland'. Drank at home on 13th September 2022. Really annoyed because it's got a BBD of 04/2022 and I only bought it yesterday! Poured into a Leffe stemmed chalice it was a pale straw blond colour with a snow white foaming head, it didn't want to clear, so there was a haze to it's look. Certainly nothing to get excited about, light spicy nose with a yeasty front in the aroma; taste also spicy and yeasty, dry and slightly bitter finish; some fruitiness arrives as it warms, but not enough to single out a particular fruit or flavour, all a bit subtle to be honest.

33cl bottle from Prik&Tik Kampenhout. F: big, white, good retention. C: blonde, light hazy. A: malty, light bready, orange peels, bit herbal, spicy, banana, apples peels. T: medium malty base, light bready, vaguely fruity, banana touch, bit watery feeling yet not sugar here at all, for me quite refreshing and nice, enjoyed.
