Rated at Platinum Beer Lounge. Intense, malty and heavy with barrel notes, bourbon, toffee, raisins, figs, prunes, vanilla, syrup and oak. Quite nicely balanced and tasty, complex barley wine. Congrats O S.!

Bottle drunk 10/1/23. Dark amber, clear, no head. Vanilla, toffee, elegant bourbon and no alcohol or excessive sugar. Well-attenuated with light chewiness but otherwise lighter bodied. Good malt depth, lots of toffee and vanilla with elegant bourbon spice. Technically very well-done but somewhat unexciting/unremarkable.

Bottle thanks to BillyT. It pours oily darkest brown with a quickly dissipating khaki head. The aroma is massive aroma, intoxicating, vanilla, nutty, fudge, toffee crisp, boozey, cola cubes, chewy, dried fruits, fruit cake and booze soaked oak. The slick, oily, sappy, chewy, toothy, bitter - sweet, massive bourbon, bourbon soaked oak, toasty brown sugars, cacao nibs, cola, cola cubes, boozey warmth, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, glace cherry, fruit cake, nutty, toffee, vanilla and a touch of spice with a slick, oily bourbon finish. Fulsome body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. Lovely bourbon vibes. Moreish.

dark brown color. Very dry nose for a BW with burnt raisins, chocolate, but bourbon is very subdued, however lots of booze. Burning my nose hair. The palate is slightly sticky but I find too boozy and thin. Although great depth not the best balance
