Brune foncée, col crémeux café au lait.
Arôme boisé avec de suite des notes classiques de cèdre qui rend de fins effluves épicés. Malts caramel, pâle, finement grillé avec un léger effet houblons nobles frais en rétro-nasal.
Palais est clairement sur un caractère marqué du bois – pointe de malts caramel, chocolaté, petite note épicée du bois, pointe de baies rouges avec un côté frais de grains de café.
Un petit porter dont l’usage de cèdre n’est pas sans rappeler la série de Cigar City Oak qui usait aussi du cèdre.

Can from HavnensVinOgTobak. Pours muddy brownish black with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, maple syrup, fudge, coffee, liquorice and hints of soy sauce. Taste is medium to very sweet, light to medium bitter, faint acidic and light salty. Body is light oily with fizzy carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes of malt, caramel, fudge, malt syrup, coffee, liquorice, soy sauce, prunes, spice and hints of peated malt. Very intense despite the relative low ABV.

Can, 0.33l. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dried fruit and conifers. Pours cloudy brown color with medium sized soapy light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with light sweet and sour but rich roasted malt, follows by coffee, nuts, wood and dried fruit, mouthfeel is smooth with dry and average bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Lucky conifers…

330 ml can. Murky black with a foamy head. Smoke, licorice, ashes, burnt malt, citrus, cocoa, dark chocolate. Dry bitterness, hints of sweetness. Medium bodied, watery texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry roasty bitter finish. Nice well made Porter!

33cl can from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark brown/people, practically black, with fine brown foam. Aroma is coffee and dark chocolate. Body is fairly full, with average carbonation. Taste is mildly roasty, with decent sweetness behind as well. Final is average.

Can 33 cl. Pours a cloudy opaque deep, orangey brown with a tiny, beige head. Nose has soft roastiness to it, but little cedar notes. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, soft roast with the cedar coming more to the fore now without ever being relly dominant. Slight roast bitterness in the finish. 030223

Can via Bombovar. Med-thin body, med-low carbonation. Fully malty, with the focus here on bitter roast, ashy, coffeeish, grainy. Med-high bitterness, light astringency, low seeetness. Med-light woodiness, I would not say cedar particularly, but generally tannic woody. Overall drinkable, good, but not great. Simple, straight-forward.
