First in a new series showcasing punchy session-strength beers, we've worked with two of our favourite UK brewers to put together this US and Aussie hopped IPA which is full in mouthfeel, packs a canvas of passion fruit, overripe mango and honeydew melon flavours and a long, dank punching finish.
For the first in the series we took advantage of Polly’s Brew Co and Pentrich Brewing Co being in town for Hop City, put our heads together, and came up with a lithe, bright IPA combining US and Australian hops Idaho 7, Vic Secret, Galaxy, and Strata.
Mashed with a huge portion of rolled oats, this one has a much thicker and fluffier mouthfeel than a sub-5% Session IPA has any right to be - swaddling a big juicy dose of passion fruit, sour-tropical chews, and frozen mango lemonade with a satisfying hit of resinous dank in the background courtesy of Strata.

Hazy yellow, frothy white head. Smells herbal, some fruit, coconut, dry. Decent body for the ABV, light but not watery. Taste is pretty dry, hoppy. Coconut, citrus, some light grassyness. Finishes on a lingering bitter citrus peel. Not bad, easy.

440ml can. Hazy yellow, white head. Aroma of passionfruit, orange, melon. Taste is fruity, tropical, passionfruit, mango, orange, melon, finishes with a lingering pithy bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Not bad but not exactly a great start to a new Patrons series either.

Keg @ Northern Monk Refectory, Manchester. Hazed light golden with a carbonation and small head. Fizzed fruitiness, tad sticky, citrus evident and lingers in aftertaste.
