1/I/24 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ the Abeels’ place, BB: I/2024, lot: 220520 (2024-7)
SLOW GUSHER ALERT!
Clear amber to light brown beer, small creamy beige head, a little stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of coffee, some caramel, malty, dusty. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very sourish start, quite some coffee, a bit infected maybe? Gentle roast. Aftertaste: more coffee, very sour, don’t like it very much. Drinking just a 3rd of this beer has kept me lying wide awake at night for 2 hours. :-/

Pours a deep amber to reddish brown colour, slightly hazy, and an off white forthy head that quickly recedes. Aroma's of coffee, roast, slightly sulphuric. Retronasal it's sweetish, white chocolate, coffee. Flavour is light sweet, a little bit sour, coffee-ish. Fairly strong alcohol feel. Light medium bodied. Quite high, prickly carbonation. Finishes somewhat dry, light moderate bitter. A bit messy.
