Bottle from Quack-Duck, thanks! Golden color. Maltaroma, slightly soapy. Grassy flavor with butter cookies. Slightly perfumed. Sweet. Bready. The flavor is nice.

“Schübel Bockbier“, Flasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Helles Goldbraun, schwach trüb. - In der Nase breites, etwas schroffes helles Malz, überreife Frucht, zarte fuselig-scharfe Noten. - Antrunk breit hellmalzig mit angenehm leichter Süße, die von leicht kratziger hopfenwürzig-kräuteriger Herbe gefolgt wird. Zarte Anklänge an Scheuertuch. Mild rezent, der Alkohol blitzt ab und zu scharf hervor. Im Abgang trockene, etwas derbe Hopfenherbe mit leicht muffig-pilziger Note. - Sicher kein Spitzenbock aber durchaus trinkbar. Die zarten Fehlaromen erhöhen interessanterweise noch den Reiz.

500ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Pear, lemon and malt in the aroma. Lemon, tea, syrup and some biscuity and grainy notes in the taste. Some citrussy notes linger in the finish.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch intensiv malzig, würzig, getreidig. Geschmack sehr malzig, leicht fruchtig süß, getreidig.

Goldorangene Farbe mit süßlich-würzigem Geruch. Der Antrunk ist sehr süß-würzig. Zum Hauptteil hin verändert sich das Aroma kaum, es wird etwas ausdrucksstärker und es kommt eine ganz leichte, aber angenehme Herbe hinzu. Zum Nachgeschmack wird die Herbe etwas stärker und wirkt leicht muffig. Auf der Zunge bleibt eine herb-muffige, zusammen mit der nun etwas in den Hintergrund getretenen, süßlich-würzigen Note.
--> Ein etwas zu muffiger und für meinen Geschmack etwas zu süßlicher heller Bock. Trotzdem vielen Dank an wastl.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts strong with some alcoholic notes. More and more spicy, also a bit sourish background. Finish so a bit unbalanced. But still okay.

The smell is earthy and malty sweet. Start with lots of sweet malts, spicy, earthy. Finish is very malty-grainy, a slight touch of alcohol is noticeable!

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A slightly unclear one, golden in color and with an off-white head. Caramel, fruityness, grains and some alcohol on the nose, not very good. The flavor is pretty much the same, a bit on the alcohol side. Full-bodied and warming, pleasant carbonation. The finish too is a bit warming, grains, bitterness and fruits as well. Not my favorite heller bock, that’s for sure. 110128

Heller Malzantrunk mit süßlichen und verträglichem, fast passendem Alkoholanteil, der für ein wenig Würze sorgt. Abgesehen davon bleibt das Bier ruhig und konzentriert sich auf das Malz, das trotz seiner Intensität einen stimmigen Grundton erzeugen kann. Dazu trägt ganz sicher auch der Hopfen bei, der hintergründig ordentlich nachhilft, an sich aber nur wenig hervorkommt. Er spielt dafür im Nachgeschmack eine große Rolle und verschmilzt vollkommen mit dem hellen Malz, Heraus kommt ein schmackhaftes, leider nicht sehr langlebiges Aroma. Für Freunde des milden Bockbieres! 11/9/10/9/9/9

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, bock aroma, malty. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, rubber - smoke ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110128]
