(Draught at Mikkeller at Morebeer, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2023) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, dark chocolate, roasted grain and black bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, cacao, black bread, and a generous roasty bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well made dry stout, with a solid bitterness. Very nice.

Draught @ BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Pours slightly hazy dark brown with stable, creamy light tan head. Clear aroma of yeast and malt, with nutty touches. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of coffee and sweetish touches of yeast and malt. Bitter, roasty aftertaste with estery touches. Decent for the style and enjoyable as such, too.

Tap at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 9th February 23, second beer trip of the year. Pours a black beer. Aroma is dusty cocoa, roasted malts, taste is ash and tobacco, roasted malts, bitter. Very good dry stout

On tap at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam on 18th November 2022. Almost impenetrably black with tan foam and full lacing. Fresh coffee beans aroma. Coffee, dark chocolate and rich roastiness in-mouth and a finish reflecting all three. Full bodied with an engaging texture.

Pours a black colour and a small light beige head. Aroma's of hard roasted malts, light coffee/mocha, and a hint of berries retronasal. Flavour is roasted, moderate bitter with a hint of sweet, drop/licorice. Light bodied. Long finish, roasted, fairly bitter. Solid.
