Nøgne Ø Nordic Noir 2 is built around the wonderful chocolate malt from Norsk Malt at Ringsaker. With honey and juniper from Brekkestø and Kveik from Sigmund Gjernes in Voss, we have captured the taste of real Norwegian craftsmanship from raw materials to finished brew. Stored one year in the bottle before release for a rounded, fruity sweetness.

Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. DArk red amber colour. MOderate malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

330 ml bottle in metal cylinder, batch #2500, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 15.5%, IBU 50. Very dark brown colour, small tan head. Aroma of dark malts and chocolate, distinct notes of juniper and honey. Sweet flavour, with the same elements as the aroma, hints of dark dried fruits. Warming mouthfeel.

Pours almost black with a few bubbles. Aroma is vinous with notes of roasted malt, dried fruits like dates, raisin and apricot, hint of oak and a good kick of alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, roasted, chocolate, dried fruity, oak and hint of liqouirice finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. It's still a little hot on the alcohol, but nice in small sips.

100ml draught at Tromsø Mikrobryggeri, Nøgne Ø TTO. Clear, almost black body, scatted lacing, a few patches on the surface. Smoothly roasted malty aromas, earthy, inviting. Powerful dark malty flavours added by dark berries and dried fruits, oaky, kveik yeasty strain beneath. Warming, dry, roasted finish. Full bodied. Enjoying. (Tromsø 29.10.2022).
