Nøgne Ø Nordic Noir 2 is built around the wonderful chocolate malt from Norsk Malt at Ringsaker. With honey and juniper from Brekkestø and Kveik from Sigmund Gjernes in Voss, we have captured the taste of real Norwegian craftsmanship from raw materials to finished brew. Stored one year in the bottle before release for a rounded, fruity sweetness.

Bottle picked up online forgot where as it was probably 5-6 months ago. Consumed at home in the company of Jonas and Ursula after a lovely hike in the hills behind Deggendorf Saturday 17th May 2025. Black in colour with a fast disappearing beige head. Nice aroma, coffee, chocolate and a little licorice. Thick mouthfeel, similar in the mouth with chocolate, coffee a little bitter dark honey, but also the alcohol is very evident a bit boozy. Good, in fact very good.

0,33 litre bottle, from Vinmonopolet Lillehammer, shared with Cunningham. Dark brown with little beige head. Malts, yeast, spices, bitterness, hides the alcohol well.

Svart. Mokkafarget syltynn skumring. Lett lakrisaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken litt kaffe. Einer skinner gjennom etter hvert. Fruktig. Tørr - lett alkoholisk - avslutning. Tror vi her er i nærheten av gårdsøl fra forna dar.

Bottle# 04491 / 15500. A very dark brown, almost black beer, a head is small and beige. Aroma has dried fruits, raisin, prune, maltyness, some honey and fresher fresh apricot. Taste has dried fruitness of raisin, chocolate, dry enough, spicyness of juniper. Full bodied, not stickyness. Very close to brilliant beer, but not so balanced to be there. Slow sipprer.
