This toffee boozy black bombshell is a throwback to one of the most extraordinary black barley wines we ever produced: Peer Pressure back in 2015. Consider this heavily tattooed P(r)ommes Queen her mouthy little successor. Hopped excessively with Cascade and aged endlessly in Calvados casks, this sophisticated diva balances the deep caramel undertones of Norman brandy with malty apple sweetness. Yep, that’s Pommes Pressure for you: a smalltown ale living in an uptown world.

A deep dark brown barleywine with a very thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with vinous notes, light Pinot de Charente, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice and rich. On tap at Craft & Draft.

Bottle. Brown sugar, boozy, soft cocoa, wodka, yoghurt, dry calvados, coffee. Massive booze, soft sweet and bitter. Not bad, but super boozy.
