330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Chocolately, roasty, dark malty and grassy, piney, minimally fruity and floral, hoppy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, couverture, hints of scallions, a touch of blueberry, blackberry, black raspberry, coffee undertones. Taste is minimally sweet and mildly bitterm roasty, chocolately, dark malty and fruity, slightly grassy and piney hoppy, notes of dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, couverture, some mocha, blueberry, blackberry, black raspberry; minimally metalic overtones, lingering, dry and minimally tart-ish finish. Oily-watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium, soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Wonderful composition, well balanced, very nice chocolately and fruity flavours - really good!

0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before September 2023. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, quite fruity-resiny aroma of blueberry, tropical fruits, pine, dark chocolate and coffee. Gently sweet, malty, quite roasty, quite fruity-resiny taste of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, licorice, blueberry, tropical fruits and some pine, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very good BIPA, fairly hoppy and roasty, pleasant mouthfeel as well. One of the best from Finne so far.

Bottle picked up from Hopfen sei Dank Webshop, Bochum although Liz disagrees and thinks that it’s from Sulzberger Bierhaus, Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm. Consumed at home listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music, Tuesday 21st February 2023. Pours black with a light tan head. Wow this is fab a really nice balance of bitterness, roastiness and lovely soft carbonation, citrusy, wow fab, reminds me a little of the fab BIPA beer from TÓl, black malts and bath salts or whatever it’s called.

Cremiger, trocken röstiger Beginn mit deutlicher Hopfigkeit, die aber schnell nachlässt und sich auf mittlerem Niveau einpendelt. Geringe Süße, deutlich röstig bleibend, rund. Weich, etwas Schokolade, langer Nachhall. 12/9/10/11/9/11
