Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malty bready roastaroma. Malty sweet rosty flavor with caramel and hints of chocolate. As least medium bodied. A bit fizzy, but a good beer, I’m pleasantly surprised.

Bamberg Jolly Day 3 26/01/2014. Draught at the brewpub in Freising. Clear dark mahogany brown colour with a big cream head that fades. Aroma is soft roast, mineral, with a hint of clove. Some yeast esters. Flavour is semi-sweet caramel, soft roast, some mineral. Palate is too sweet and lacking in crispness.

Bottle (kindly delivered by joss!): Amber coloured, medium-sized off-white head with a little lace; dryish nose of toasted malt with caramelly and fruity undertones; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, close to medium bodied; slightly lingering dryish dark-malty finish, completed by dried fruits. Very pleasant....
