--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Black, minimal head. Aroma of salted peanuts and chocolate. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Tastes more or less exactly like a chocolate bar with peanuts, and perhaps some raisins. Not too sticky, rather boozy. Compared to a lot of pastry stouts this is pretty passable and much less syrupy, just rather simplistic. Perhaps the first tolerable beer I've had with peanuts. And I had a few.

Sample (thanks to fonefan!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some toffee, mild alcohol with some spiciness and nutty elements. Flavour is chocolate, nutty elements with some alcohol, roasted, liquorice and mild toffee to it. Longlasting cinnamon (almost a bit star anise like elements to it) in the aftertaste.

16 oz. Aroma is nutty, dark bread, cocoa, black licorice, light cinnamon. Pours very dark brown to black with a one finger tan head with good retention. Taste is moderately sweet with a bitter edge and a little acidity. Nice velvety mouthfeel, but the carbonation is a little softer than I prefer. Not bad.
