Unser Gessner Pils besticht bereits optisch durch seine kräftige strohgelbe Farbe ebenso wie durch die dazugehörige, schneeweiße Schaumkrone. Die Nase wird sogleich umschmeichelt von klaren Hopfennoten, ähnlich frisch im Garten geschnittener Kräuter in Kombination mit leicht blumigen Düften. Der eher schlanke Malzkörper gibt der klar definierten und angenehmen Hopfenbittere den nötigen Raum, um sich am Gaumen mit unterschwelligen Aromen von frischem Heu zu entfalten. Das alles wird abgerundet durch einen erfrischend spritzigen Nachtrunk.

Bottle. Blonde. Soft hat-like aroma. Hay-like hopbitter flavor, with a shy malt character. Almost medium bodied. Well hopped and well balanced pilsener.

9th Aug 2018, on-tap 0.5 litre glass, at a random Schnell Imbiss in Quedlinburg sat in the afternoon sunshine. Golden pour, fast fading white topping. The nose had a malty front with a light floral note or two, taste also malty/grainy with a little grass/floral twist from the hops that also gave a balanced bitterness. OK for a cheap Pilsner.

Goldgelbes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, grasig, Citrus, blumig. Geschmack metallisch, grasig, hopfig.

Draught at BBF12. No aroma. Clear shiny yellow colour. Small white head. Good malty flavour. Refreshing citric hop note. Good bitterness, very clean and not rough. Nicely biscuity roundoff.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, golden beer with a dense, white head. Slightly vegetal on the nose, with apples-like fruityness, some pale malts and a grassy touch. Fruity flavor, low on bitterness. A little maltyness too. Not bad flavor, just boring. Medium body with pleasant carbonation. Short finish where some bitterness finally shows up. Super boring. 110129

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, green grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110129]

Pours clear pale yellow with a white head. Aroma is almost missing, but hints of hay Taste light sweet, Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle @ Ulfborg Weekend, Jan 2011. Pours clear pale yellow with a small off white head. Dry and grainy nose and flavor with a touch of perfume.
