Can@SBWF2022. Hazy orangeish brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, some spices, alcohol and mild nutty and wooden tones. Flavour is pretty much following the pattern of the aroma. Smooth, but nothing that special.

19.2 oz can purchased a few months ago at Mr. T’s locally. Cans are convenient but I miss the bombers. I’ve rated more beers from Clown Shoes than any other brewery because they generally deliver, keeps me coming back. My Buffalo Bayou tulip glass is arrayed for this drink. The pour is a dark cola brown with a slim, taupe head. I detect scents of ripe fruit, bread and a small alcohol effect. The taste improves on the nose, there is stewed plums, syrup, grain, raisins, booze and a bit of astringency. Thick, potent and tasty in a style I’m not necessarily crazy about.

Can. A- Malt, boozy, raisins, sweet. A- Dark ruby color, clear liquid, minimal head. T- Boozy, raisins, caramel malt, mild sherry, sugary. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, cloying finish. O- $9 for a 19 oz can wasn't terrible but I felt like I needed more complexity. Definitely should have split the can. Too much for one. Sipped it for an entire afternoon because it just wasn't calling to me.

Nice and smooth, good rye flavor in the finish. Excellent!
