Jens smagning (28/12/2024) - dark sweet toasted sweet malty with notes of dark dried fruit shred, some dark caramel and brown sugar, light cocoa dusting, medium body, sweet boozy warming malty finish.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, prunes, spices, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry finish.

Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark brown colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Deep coppery colour, small head. Aroma is nutty, some floral and dark cherries with some spicy yeast and wood. Flavour is chocolate, some cherries, spices and mild spicy tones. Syrupy sweet aftertaste.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Black, small head. Aroma of raisins and madeira. Very sweet with full body and dense, rounded mouthfeel. Brown sugar, dates and madeira. Warming finish some roasty alt bitterness. Intensely sweet and packed with flavour.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a cloudy opaque, dark brown with a beige head. Nose is pruney, raisiney, sweet dark sugars. Rich, fatty malts and massive brown sugars with layers of complexity from dark, dried fruits. Warming alcohol finish. A desert beer indeed, and a lovely one. 100922
