Deep malty roasted beginning. Woody rum is there, dry black tea in the back. Easy to drink with a great depth. Nice balanced rum wood with the dark malts and the black tea. Aus der Flasche (bbe 31.01.2024) im 2023-03 getrunken. In der Nase eine tolle Cassis Note auf Karamell. Am Gaumen kommt dann die deutlichen Aromen von schwarze Tee (Assam) durch, die duch die in Rum getränkten Holzchips mit ihrer eine feinen Süße sehr gut ausbalanciert werden. Neben diese spanennden Aromakombinationen macht au0erdem das cremige Mundgefühl echt Spaß im Glas.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Herbal and dark malty, minimally woody aroma, notes of black tea, a touch of dried fruit, flavoured tobacco with rum and plum aspects. Taste is sweet-ish, dark malty and minimally dry, herbal, woody, notes of black tea, a touch of dark caramel, oak, rum. Slightly creamy texture, smooth and slightly dry palate, medium, dense, mildly prickly carbonation. Some nice flavours due to the adjuncts - decent.

Bottle from craft beer shop, drunk whilst a pizza cooks, after a marathon 2 parent bedtime session due to kindergarten naps and daylight savings. Get rid of it for crissakes! Super dark beer the head is huge and medium brown. Nose is distinctly molasses/rum. Really interesting flavor, slightly rummy with a roasted malt flavor, not a common combination. There's some other weird stuff going on in there which I can just identify as tea due to having read the label. Moderate earthy bitterness. In the end it's got a bit too much going on and it doesn't really all mesh together.

Süffiger Beginn mit deutlichen Noten von Rum, die aber meist im Hintergrund bleiben. Der Schwarztee ist ebenfalls erkennbar, mile Süße, etwas Vanille, trockener werdend. Dunkel malzig, mittellanger Abgang, gefällt. 11/10/11/11/9/11

33cl bottle. A black beer with a tan head. Aroma of strong dark malt, wood, rum and raisins. Taste of dark brown malt, rum, vanilla, brownies, moderate bitterness, raisins. Good!
