50 cl bottle from Doodler. Label looks like the picture on here. Nose is wheaty bready yeast, light banana, and a light clove note. Murky yellow with a medium pale yellow head. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly peppery, with a dash of banana.

Mine is simply called Grieskirchner Weisse not Jörger. Looks a little hazy and more yellow than a witbier. Smell is a little aged lager. Fairly light on the palate. Even keel flavors that border on old but not quite get there. During the session gets more friendly. Somewhat unique tang in this one, just a tad tart. Some fine CO2 in the vision and on the tongue but fades almost instantly. Not your typical hefe has some of that old american lager flavor in there. Very little banana spice if any. Doughy something finish. On the label it says wit bier but yes, this is more like a gentle hefe.

Trinkbar. 8/7/9/8/8/8

pored into a weizen glass from the bottle, this one is fairly hazy golden in color, 2 inch inch frothy head that dissipated and put a VERY thin lacing around the glass as I drank.. The aroma is moderately skunky, like wet grass or wet hey. The mouth feel was very light for the style. Kind of watery. Still a drinkable Hefe. Nothing to get you real excited but at a $1.99 at the base class six, not to shabby.

Pour is fizzy and moderately hazy - hardly any head - the nose has a kind of syrupy sweetness to with some odd notes of raisin and treacle that are quite strange for the style - a bit of buttery character as well - not necessarily bad, just very out of place, and thus, a little off-putting - the flavor lacks the expected yeast profile for the style - in fact, it hardly tastes like a hefe at all - moderate honey sweetness, quite a bit of overripe apple, light notes of green raisins - a moderate acidic tang through the middle and the finish - a mild hop bitterness at the end - fairly clean and tasty, actually, I just wouldn’t call it a hefe.
