Handpull cask at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Light brown and clear with a small off-white/khaki head. Oaky aroma, a bit of overripe orange. Sweet taste, some tangy wood. Tannic finish. A bit thin in the mouth, soft carbonation. Hard to get overly excited about, but it's absolutely a capable bitter and well above average beer.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear copper colour with a lasting bubbly off-white head. The aroma is malt, woody hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, somewhat light, dry, malty, light yeast, herbal, earthy, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at Alexandra, Derby. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a small off-white head and good lacing. There’s a muted aroma of floral hops and apples. In the mouth it varies between slightly sweet and quite bitter. Initially malts are to the fore in the flavour, but these are soon ousted by floral hops, with marmalade, mango, autumn fruits and a trace of honey. Sweetness returns at the finish. It’s reasonable.
