Can @ Broadway Dive Bar, Manhattan (Oct 2023). Pours inky black with a very large spongy tan head, fragrant coffee aroma, low carbonation, bitter coffee-mocha taste, latte flavor, oily thick body, long latte finish. Incredibly easy to drink despite the ABV.

Deep prune-brown-black body, big deep brown head. Aroma raisin, prune, soy, and fruit leather. Body sharp and very sweet, with lots of raisin and prune accompanied by fruit leather, maple syrup, and coffee bean. I enjoyed it a touch more than my rating would indicate.

16 ounce can from Libby’s Liquors. My 25th Fat Orange Cat beer rating! Opaque, jet black pour. Dark brown head. Subtle roasted malt aroma hints at coffee. Thick, luxurious mouthfeel upfront. Dark, malty goodness leads to notes of espresso and sweet, sticky caramel. Added notes of milk chocolate, vanilla and sweetened cold brew coffee. Interesting.
