Swing top bottle. Golden color. Caramel, cardboard and some soft floral notes in the aroma. Full bodied. Malty sweetish, caramelly flavor with notes of peach. Decent but sticky.

bread honey apricots, very malty and sweeter than most Hellas. Very malty, great bready character. Smooth, but the sweetest Hellas I’ve ever had to the point it became hard to drink

Bottle shared outside the brewery on day 2 of the Bamberg Jolly of January 2014. Pours perfectly clear yellow with a bubbly, frothy white head. Pretty basic, but very drinkable, with notes of pale cereal, hints of grassy bitterenss, some hay. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light crispy cereal in the finish, a bit more hay. Very drinkable gear.

Etwas muffig herber Beginn, wässrig, hell. Getreidig, das Bier bleibt allerdings muffig. Etwas besser im hinteren Mittelteil, geringfügig bitter, nicht wirklich harmonisch. 7/7/6/6/4/5

Bottle from Rewe Buttenheim. Herbal hop nose, grainy malt, a bit of doughy wort, sulfur. Clear gold. Flavor is minerals, herbs, dough. Light but thin. Rather lame and boring.

Bamberg jolly day 2. 25/01/2014. Bottle shared outside the brewery tap. Bright golden yellow colour with a small white head. Aroma is lemony, resin and pine. Flavour is honey malt, pine, lemony hop. Slight grassy silage in the finish. Palate is full full sticky and resinous. Good stuff.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, getreidig, leicht herb. Geschmack malzig würzig, getreidig, minimale Bitterkeit.

Bamberg Bash Day 2. Bottle outside the closed brewery. Light haze on this gold beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is airy and crisp. Light pale malt, clean. Strong carbonation. Light peel bitterness and a little floralness. Dry crisp finish.

Day 2 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, bottle shared outside the brewery tap - Buttenheim, 25/01/14. I saw the ’Straus’ museum on the map when I was plotting out these venues and thought of the denim based apparel but didn’t put zwei and zwei together ! Cheers Levi ! Clear light golden with a moderate white covering. Nose is citrus fruit, bread dough, light smokey nip. Taste comprises orange, bread dough, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, clean finale. Ok.
