Bottle from Secret Santa, thanks! Tasted 300710. Deep dark ruby red color. Cherry, ash, chocolate and pipe tobacco in the aroma. Full bodied. Malty sweet flavor with ash, pipe tobacco, leather and hints of cherries. Alcoholic but amazingly complex and a cacophony of flavors and aromas.

Draft from the last keg Midnight Sun had: Poured dark brown with off white heads. Really woodsy oak aroma and some faint cherries. Taste in aged fruity, more woods some sourness. The finish was dry finish and spicy. Very drinkable for being an ’07, but sure would have liked to have tried it a little fresher for more brett character.

22oz bottle pours a watery, otherwise opaque black with one ring of white head. Nose is sweet, coffe liqeuer, vanilla beans, light spice, dried fruit. Flavor is sweet but a little artificial, processed chocolate, coffee liqeuer, brown sugar, wet Christmas bread, light spice. Medium bodied, sweet finish.

Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Poured a near clear dark brown with a red hue and a brown head that dissipated slowly to the edges. Aroma had a bourbon note with sweet red fruits, dark grains and a good amount of mustiness. Flavor was similar with bourbon, red fruits, dark grains and must. The brett didn’t really come through.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted and slight chocolate malty. Sweet and caramelish with a nice roasted acidic note. Dry and slight phenolic. Dry and roasted malty flavoured into the finish. Smooth and easy.
