Hazy deep amber colour, small off-white head, fairly lasting, light lacing. Aroma sweet malts, orange, pear, caramel, yeast. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, citrus, light yeast. Taste medium to light heavy sweet and medium bitter, malty, fruity, yeasty, bit boozy, spicy notes. Dry sweetbitter finish, full-bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, not your typical (Belgian style) tripel, alcohol well hidden, very tasty.

Shared a bottle (50cl) with Huub at the end of the beernight. A good tripel, not the sweetness of some Belgian tripels, but a bitterness in it. Liked it! Thanks Huub for a special evening!

500ml bottle. Murky amber colour with small to average, frothy, rapidly diminishing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, fruity and slightly bready-grainy aroma, notes of dried fruit, apple, fig, apricot, raisin, hints of baked red appple, a peppery spicy (yeasty) touch. Taste is sweet caramel malty, slightly bready, minimally alcoholic, fruity notes of dried apple, fig, apricot; counterbalanced by a minimally tart fruit acidic touch; viscid, but in no way sticky palate. Rich, flawless, decent Triple.

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. Slow gusher. Hazy gold. Big, bubnly, white head. Lovely, honeyed caramel aroma. Quite floral. Bit of peachy hop. Underpinned by a soft, Belgian yeast character. Taste is toasty sweet, turning dry. Light bitterness at the end. Rich, full mouthfeel. Doesn’t feel the ABV, though. Quite warming. Finishes soft sweet, turning yeasty dry. Very nice. Super easy drinking.

Bottle @ Appellation Comely Bank tasting. From the brewery. Appearance - amber to light brown with a proportionate head, which then falls away a little quickly. Nose - bready, with dried fruit. Light biscuits in the background. Taste - more of the same. It tastes quite light given it’s 9%. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a dry balanced finish. Overall - it’s decent and the alcohol is well hidden. Maybe could go a bit more complexity though.
