Colne Beer Festival 2023. Hazy golden coloured ale. Hides its strength really well, although you can tell with a blast in its aftertaste. In between there's a decent fruitiness to be found, evident in both aroma and taste.

Cask at the GBBF 2008. Deep golden colour, low head. Lovely aroma of oak, rhum-drenched raisins and fortified wine. Warming mouthfeel. The flavour is again full of oak and raisins, also notes of bitter oranges and toffee, with a hoppy bitterness in the finish. Excellent beer.

Bottle. Pale amber color. Orange and mandarine curacao in the floral aroma. Full bodied. Floral, alcoholic flavor with tangerine. Almost vinous. More a strong ale as a Belgian tripel.

Just after midnight; it's the 22nd Oct 2018. 500ml bottle conditioned into a Chimay chalice (twice), at home. Golden body, very slight haze, thin white topping. If this had been at a blind tasting I would have said it was a Belgian Tripel, no doubt. The yeasty aroma with an orange and spicy ester or two, sweeps you along to the lovely flavours which also incorporate the same yeasty, orange and spicy notes from nose. As the beer warms in the glass the Coriander comes to the fore and the other spicy influences take a step back, the orange citrus feel also expands, yet it also becomes a little sweeter; still a pleasing flavour and very 'Belgian' in nature.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass very zippy, huge head. Starts strong, malty, modest alcoholic. Some spicy notes. Fruity hints of pear, background moldy-grainy. Finish more balanced. Less alcoholic. Not bad.

Gusher! Smooth mild beginning. Easy to drink, hints of herbs, golden ale aroma over fresh smooth fruity yeast. No bitterness, moderate sweetness, easy to drink, soft and smooth.

Bottle – pours an almost clear amber colour with a small off white head. The aroma is sweet malts and fruity with notes of straw and brandy. The taste is moderately sweet, dark sweet fruit, raisin and prune, caramel malt and orange peel flavours. A warm alcohol, spicy wood bitterness in the finish.
