Double Overhead IPA is a fresh handcrafted double IPA featuring copious amounts of hops. Laden with hops from begining to end and not overly bitter, it’s hop aromas and flavours give hints of Guava, Passion Fruit, and orange spice which blend well with the silky malt flavours. "Big braddah to the Big Swell IPA"

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy copper color, creamy head. Very light butter trace in the aroma, suspicious but not disturbing. But the hop flavor is excellent, and floats over a good malt base, moderately sweet; rich of fruits and resins. Fresh.
Excellent.

Draft - Grapefruit and some rind. Clear gold with a decent white head. Nice grapefruit and some sweet malts with some heat. Pretty decent.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is full of tropical fruits, including mango and peach, alcohol, and caramel malt. Flavour is quite hot, with loads of tropical fruits, alcohol, and enough caramel malt backing. Boozy, fruity and malty, but it works quite well, at least in small pours. Very good.

Golden-amber, thin head, mango and orange nose. Sweet and fruity character. Sticky malts have a touch of crystal. Nice hop character, maybe a bit too burly to truly enjoy more than a few sips, though.

Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours opaque oatmeal/orange - like it’s cereal ground and swirled. Lots of hop aroma that seems pine. Med + body. Flavor is sweet caramel with pine and lots of exotic type fruits. Pretty tasty beer.

Draft @ GABF 2013. Pours a hazy yellow color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity grapefruit hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty grapefruit bitter finish.

GABF 2013. Pours a hazy orange appearance with a khaki head. Garlic-y, onion, tropical fruity, mango, pineapple aroma. Flavor has a weirdly stale taste to it that honestly reminded me of a six month old can of Big Swell IPA that I opened recently. Some tropical fruits in the flavor but kind of strange and dull at the same time.

Approximately 3-4 oz sampler at the Brewpub in Lahaina, Maui. The pour is orange copper, mostly clear, with not much head. The aroma is tropical fruit, along with lightly toasted malt. The taste is sweet tropical fruit hop, malt sweetness, and a decent alcohol burn in the back. The palate is medium bodied, low carbonation level, dry hot finish. Pretty boozy.

On tap. Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a bone colored white head. Good lace. Aromas are floral dank and citrusy with lots of tropical fruit. Minimal malt character which is fine by me. Flavors are dank, stonefruit, guava and CTZ (possibly?). Lively bubbles, and dry. Well done.
