Top Hops, NYC bottle: pours mahogany with a beige head with some floaties. Aroma is a lot of banana with some roast. Taste is sweet, wheaty, but has a distinct roasty, chocolate finish. Not that bad.

A murky dark amber weizen with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity banana malt with light cloves, banana esters, nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity banana malt with cloves, light vanilla, alcohol, nice if a bit ugly. Bottle at El Gourmand, Oaxaca.

Medium brown with a thin head. Aroma is mostly chocolatey with maybe a little bit of weizeny fruitiness, but that is indistinct. Sweet lemony-limey taste up front, muddled by too much carbonation in the middle, then settling into a fruity/chocolatey finish where the chocolate grows and you wish they’d just made this a regular dunkel because the chocolate is nice and the fruitiness is mostly just distracting.
