Our collaboration with De Molen from 2018. This half of the batch we have aged for one year in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. Adding another dimension to an already complex and heartwarming beer - with added ginger, cinnamon and honey, and lactose.

[ As Turning Point / De Molen Bourbon Afterglow ].
ABV: 12.0%. Clear dark black colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, ginger, honey, cinnamon, lactose, vanilla - barrel - bourbon. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, rich malt - malty, honey, cinnamon, ginger, alcohol - bourbon, dark malt, chocolate, vanilla - barrel - bourbon. Body is medium to medium full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20190929]

Keg at LCBF 2019, Friday evening session. Pours oily black-brown with a creamy, beige head. Punchy, with light mint, alcohol, ashy roast, bitter baking cocoa. Full bodied and chewy, with light carbonation. Warming finish, a little sticky, with more ashy bitterness, dense cocoa. Good toothy stuff.

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden, London. A black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, ginger, bourbon aroma. Tastes roasty, malty, chocolate, bourbon, ginger, quite sweet and intense. Very good but a third was quite enough.

Keg at ecbf 2019 Friday. M dark black. Nthin tan lacing.. Soft sweet nutty chocolate roast malts nose.. Dark vanilla chocolate. Rich sweet roast.. Red wine.. Soft mellow buggy tones... Dark chocolate
